Background about the owner:
JAB** was first introduced as an advisory board while I was working for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Around that time, I also began writing—a passion that grew alongside my lifelong love of art. My appreciation for creativity started in school, where drawing gave me a sense of freedom and self-expression. My art teacher often displayed my work with pride and even kept several pieces in her classroom after I graduated. Those early experiences inspired me to continue creating and shaped the artistic vision that defines my work today. Over the years, the brand evolved into **Jabostudio**, **Jabosagency**, and **JAHB**, all operating under the Jabos name. The original term, **JAHB**, represented **Joy Advisory Board** and **Another Brand (Not Another Her Brand)**, which also reflected the mission of our nonprofit initiative. Today, Jabostudio operates as a sole proprietorship specializing in abstract art, surrealism, and contemporary design. Our work extends beyond fine art to include interior styling, furniture curation, home staging, and transforming rustic pieces into timeless antiques. We also collaborate with established designer brands, emerging creatives, and wholesale partners to deliver distinctive collections that combine artistic expression with functional design. In addition to our creative services, we offer **S.I.R. (Staffing, Interviewing & Recruitment)**—an affordable workforce solution that helps businesses connect with promising talent through trial-to-permanent employment opportunities. We invite you to explore our collections, discover our creative journey, and experience the vision behind Jabos. *Explore our series collections and publications, including titles available on Amazon Kindle.

Where Art Meets Fashion

Makeup and art go hand in hand. Both begin with a blank canvas and are transformed through color, shape, texture, and imagination. Whether enhancing the unique features of a face or creating a one-of-a-kind painting, every brushstroke tells a story and reflects a vision.

Every masterpiece has a purpose. It may be created for a wedding, a celebration, a fashion show, a festival, a parade, a theatrical performance, or a special event. Throughout history, makeup artists, designers, and performers have used creativity to bring characters and artistic concepts to life.

Many entertainers have demonstrated the power of transformation through costume and makeup. Performers often spend hours preparing before stepping onto the stage. From dramatic character portrayals to iconic performances, artists such as Michael Jackson, Martin Lawrence, and Tyler Perry have shown how makeup, wardrobe, and performance work together to create memorable experiences.

At Jabos, we celebrate that same spirit of creativity. We offer professional makeup kits, original artwork, and unique fashion merchandise inspired by contemporary art and design. Our vision is to transform original paintings into wearable art, creating collections that move from canvas to couture.

We are currently seeking a talented seamstress or fashion designer who can interpret our original artwork into custom garments that come alive on the runway and beyond. Our goal is to create wearable masterpieces that showcase art through fashion while offering collectors the opportunity to own both the original artwork and the finished design.

Our original artwork is available as framed pieces or digital editions, with prices ranging from $100 to $5,000.

Explore our book series on Amazon Kindle, including Capture Your Dreams Through Subconsciousness, A Childhood's Memoir, and A Child's Memoir: The Bio.

You can also find selected items on Poshmark under @jabos and follow our creative journey on TikTok: @original_artwork21.

At Jabos, we believe creativity has no limits. Art is not confined to a canvas—it can be worn, performed, collected, and experienced.

Abstract

Assessing The Role of Fashion and Social Media in Promoting Body Positive

The fashion industry has long been associated with narrow beauty standards, promoting idealized body shapes and Eurocentric features. However, in recent years, there has been a noticeable shift towards inclusive and diversity within the industry. This shift reflects not only market trends but also a broader cultural movement towards acceptance and celebration of diverse identities and physical forms.

The emergence of the body positive movement has significantly influenced the fashion landscape, challenging industry norms and advocating for greater inclusive. This movement, rooted in feminist and social justice principles, promotes the idea that beauty exists in all shapes, sizes, and forms, encouraging self-love and acceptance. Fashion brands, recognizing the demand for more authentic and representative portrayals of beauty, are increasingly embracing models of various body sizes, ethnicity and gender identities. This shift towards inclusive not only broadens the definition of beauty but also provides a more accurate reflection of the diverse world we live in.

Chapter 1 : Introduction

1.1 Background

The societal perception of beauty has evolved significantly over time, and fashion has played a central role in both shaping and reflecting these changes. Throughout history, from ancient civilizations to the contemporary era, fashion has been deeply intertwined with cultural norms, social dynamics, and historical events, thereby influencing the ideals of beauty (Roach-Higgins & Eicher, 1992). Understanding this evolution necessitates acknowledging the intricate relationship between fashion and societal standards of beauty. Public knowledge.
